We recommend using npm to do a global install of Gauge. Before you begin, make sure that you have the latest version of Node.js
(covered by Long Term Support) installed.
A good way to do this is to install the latest node version by using
npm install -g npm@latest
Now, install Gauge using
npm install -g @getgauge/cli
Once you’ve installed Gauge, you’re ready to start creating your first Gauge test.
Gauge is a test automation framework that uses Taiko - a node.js library, to automate the chrome browser.
Gauge also supports other web drivers like Selenium or Sahi.
Refer to our documentation for how to create templates for these drivers.
